As Halloween approaches, I’m curious: What’s everyone watching/reading/playing to get into the spooky spirit? Taylor and I have been watching a lot of Halloween TV specials (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Boy Meets World, old Disney Channel Original Movies) together and I’ve been working my way through a long list of horror films.
But reading has been where it’s at this year, as Taylor and I just read through Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s “Mexican Gothic” and are currently working through Stephen Graham Jones’ “The Only Good Indians.” Both have been sufficiently creepy, and I love the way both take some traditional horror motifs- Gothic literature and Stephen King novels, respectively - and turn them into something fresh.
But what are y’all enjoying this Halloween season? Drop a comment in the thread discussion.
We are trying to do the most at this house since we can't go out for festivities this year. Simultaneously we are watching through the original first season of The Twilight Zone, the Classic Universal Monsters catalogue, and a horror marathon of 154 films (we started in April) from 1960's Psycho - 2020's The Invisible Man.

The 2020 Invisible Man is great! And I love all things Twilight Zone
Rewatching Los Espookys on HBO!
I need to finish that one!
I did and am really enjoying the spooky books we’ve been reading although The Only Good Indians is so intense sometimes.
I’m not one for scary movies at all so I very much enjoyed revisiting Haunted Mansion. That movie is not as bad as everyone says.
